It’s that time of year again. We’re not talking about the holidays. Or even winter. No, we’re referring to the annual announcement of the Pantone color of the year. For 2022, the selection is a bit surprising.
Pantone 17-3938 Very Peri is described as “inquisitive and intriguing.” It’s basically a periwinkle. In other words, a bluish purple. It’s actually a tricky color to find. Mainly because periwinkle also translates to lilac or lavender, depending on the brand. Although, we’re guessing we will soon be inundated with the striking shade now that it’s been revealed.
You can try to celebrate the hue via makeup. There are probably plenty of shadows that fit the bill. But we prefer to embrace it in the form of fashion. Luckily, we found many stylish options. From a slinky printed dress to faux leather trousers and even a corduroy suit. Looking for accessories? Well, look no further. You can pick from a furry tote, two-tone boots or a fringe-accented scarf.
So are you ready to jump on the Very Peri bandwagon? (Especially since there may be no wagon to jump on come January as these are all bound to sell out.) Scroll down to see the best ways to flaunt the Pantone shade all year long.
