Already had the mount for my camcorder but now can add my hero 6 gopro without having to purchase a second mount

This is a huge upgrade from the plastic GoPro tripod mount. It’s durable and way more reliable. It’s also super light weight.

Very solid equipment. The aluminum is well machined. Good feel. Absolutely worth the money.

Does exactly what it is designed to do. Well made. I would recommend this product.

I got this for the sole reason of mounting it on the cross plate of my SxS’s front OEM “bumper” for our trips to the mud hole in northern FL (Hog Waller). And I must say, we have beat the snot out of the mount (and the GoPro), and the mount still performs flawlessly. As long as I make sure the threads are clear each time I mount/remove the device to it, I could easily see this mount outliving my GoPro, hahaha.

As another reviewer said, this is not designed to work with the Media Mod, _BUT_ it can work with a minor modification. The issue is that the thumbscrew winds up being too close to the media mod body and it pushes one side of the camera off level.

The fix is to simply place a washer under the thumbscrew. It only needs about 75 – 100 thousandths of an inch (2.5mm, roughly) of thickness to prevent the problem. I didn’t want to deal with a washer that I could easily lose, so I machined a brass washer and threaded the inside of it so it would remain permanently attached to the thumbscrew. If you want to do the same, I think the thumbscrew is M5x0.8, if I remember correctly.

Minus 2 stars for the added work that could have been fixed with a minor tweak to the CNC machine setup.

Very useful, good quality product.

As a sole content creator, I use a tripod often for setting the camera up to either do stand-ups or just regular video shots. I found this GoPro tripod adaptor on Amazon and bought one. It worked out so well, I found myself swapping it out for my other mounts that had the same screw-on base. I realized that it is so well priced, that I bought a second one.

The only drawback is the thumbscrew, I like the ones from GoPro better, that was pretty simple, to swap that out with one of the GP mounts. – Really nicely made product, arrived fast, and is well priced.
